It is a device that records the heart rate constantly and non-invasively, this device is worn for 24 to 48 hours, as determined by the medical professional.
How is a Holter ECG performed?
The electrodes of the device are placed on the chest by the professional, the device is carried in a bag or pocket for the determined time and is withdrawn by the professional who will read the recorded data.
General recommendations:
It is recommended to attend with comfortable clothes, do not shower during the exam since the device loses the monitoring connection, when sleeping the device has to be in a place where the weight of the body is avoided on it, avoid being in areas of high voltage, electric blankets or sheets, metal detectors and magnets, doing activities and daily routines as normal.
